TRIPLE DECKER PRODUCTIONS is a comedic production company, focused on the development of unique live events and engaging digital media, based in Los Angeles and comprised of Bill Connolly, Erin Berry, Matt Catanzano, and Tim Johnson.


Triple Decker Productions is a production company and artist collective specializing in comedy based in Los Angeles, California. The founding members include Erin Berry, Matt Catanzano, Tim Johnson, and Bill Connolly, four entertainers with unique perspectives and a combined four decades of comedy experience.

Erin, Matt, Tim, and Bill met while performing at the Improv Asylum in Boston, Massachusetts several years ago and, after separating to different cities for a period, found themselves reunited in Los Angeles in early 2016. Quickly, they formed Triple Decker Productions and have since launched successful live show formats including Crowne Comedy and East Coast Wasted. The group has performed at the Comedy Central Stage, the Hudson Theater, and The Complex Hollywood, and was named "Best in the Fest" at the Burbank Comedy Festival.

The members of Triple Decker Productions have performed in over 8,000 shows and taught improv techniques to thousands of corporate employees, university students, and aspiring comedians across the country. The group brings a fresh, exciting approach to improvisation and sketch comedy and is eager to perform at your festival, company outing, or showcase.

Bill Connolly is an improvisational comedian, soft skills expert, speaker, and writer. He is the author of two books including The Success Disconnect: Why The Smartest People Choose Meaning Over Money and Funny Business: Build Your Soft Skills Through Comedy. He also maintains a column for Entrepreneur and is a frequent speaker on personal and professional development, mental health, and building soft skills through comedic methodology. He has co-produced successful live shows in Boston, New York City, and Los Angeles, and resides in Santa Monica, California with his wife and puppy son, Brady.



Erin Berry is a performer, writer, and producer living in Los Angeles, California. She has a BFA in acting from Emerson College. While in Boston she also directed resident teams, taught improv, and was a cast member on the Mainstage at Improv Asylum, where she performed over 600 shows a year. In addition Erin also does corporate trainings and corporate shows all over the country. She has produced and performed in successful live shows in Boston and LA. She has written and produced several short films and web-seires. She also stunned audiences in 2002 as Yenta the matchmaker in Marengo Elementary Schools production of Fiddler on the Roof Jr.   



Matt Catanzano is an actor, writer, and comedian living in Los Angeles. He recently performed as part of an NBC/Universal Showcase directed by Mick Napier in LA. He can be seen in the upcoming comedy sequel “Daddy’s Home 2” starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg as well as an episode of Tracy Morgan’s new show “The Last O.G.” this spring. In the fall of 2017, one of his feature scripts was a semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival.

Matt is a former Mainstage performer, writer, director, and teacher at Improv Asylum in Boston’s North End. Matt worked at both the Cannes and Venice Film Festivals as part of the American Pavilion program for young filmmakers.  In 2012, Matt and his writing partner, Richie Moriarty created the YouTube page, “Simply Unemployable” where they write/direct/star in web series and one-off sketches. That same year, they signed as a Channel Partner on Broadway Video’s YouTube Channel “Above Average Productions” where they’ve released web series such as “Portrait STUdio” and “Congressional Hearings.” Matt wrote and directed the Above Average sketch “Sex in a Haunted House” which is currently at 29+ million views on YouTube. Simply Unemployable sketches have been featured on Buzzfeed, Digg, College Humor, NPR, Splitsider, Huffington Post, among others. Simply Unemployable’s live shows run in NYC and LA.  When he’s not performing in Triple Decker Productions he can be seen in CAP at Second City Hollywood and modeling on such prestigious product boxes as an ad for inflatable pool floats and “personal” massagers.



Tim Johnson is a comedian, actor, musician and educator. During his time performing professionally on Improv Asylum’s Mainstage cast in Boston, Tim also worked as a teaching fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he coached graduate students on writing, educational design, and critical exploration. Tim has taught improv to children, teenagers, adults, and corporate groups across the country, and was named one of 2017’s “Most Entertaining People With Whom To Visit An Aquarium.”*
